Attire

What does 'summer cocktail attire' mean? For men, it means shirt and tie; or a shirt and a jacket with no tie. (We didn't find much literature about the pants, but we assume they aren't optional). For women, it means as fancy a summer dress as you would like to wear. We have air conditioning, but, assuming it's a nice day, some guests may enjoy walking up to our roof, so prepare for being outside.

Menu

This is a mostly homemade affair. We'll have more than enough for you to have a full dinner, no matter when you arrive. The menu will include a few items that are vegetarian.

Schedule

The only formal event for the evening is that we will toast each other at 8:30 p.m., when we cut the cake. Otherwise, the music may change as the sun goes down, but it's an open ended party.

Can I bring children?

If they are yours, sure. Our main concern would be children getting bored surrounded by a bunch of adults. However, there are several playgrounds nearby.

Registry – or, the lack of one

If you would like to give a gift, we would be touched by one that allowed us to think of you: a letter, a bottle of wine, a night out at a restaurant in New York or a contribution toward a specific part of our honeymoon – a stop at a café, entrance to a winery or a train ride.
